Ciarán Ó Dochartaigh

Ciarán Ó Dochartaigh is based in London. He obtained an MFA at Goldsmiths College, London, 2010-2012 (Distinction with AHRC Bursary).

Ó Dochartaigh has taken part in the Residency Programme at CIAP, Ile de Vassiviere, France, 2016. Critical forums and lectures including MFA Art program, University of Ulster, Belfast 2016, Resonance FM, the Lux critical forum 2014-2015 and A/WA at Auto Italia, London 2015. He was invited to participate in 'The Conch' at the South London Gallery, 2012.

In 2015 he was awarded 'Artists International Development Fund', Arts Council England / British Council, in 2013 he was awarded an individual artist grant for the inaugural City of Culture Derry. He was selected as a candidate for the Paul Hamlyn award and a finalist for Foundation Francois Schneider, May 2012.

Recent selected shows include: Kisses Sweeter Than Wine Treignac Projet, France, Lofoten International Art Festival (LIAF), Norway, August 2015 2016, Vanishing Futures: Collective Histories of Northern Irish Art, Golden Thread gallery, Belfast. Instances of Agreement. Kao Yuan art center, Taiwan. 'Concerning the Bodyguard' at 'The Tetley', Leeds that included a two-day public symposium, 2014. He has been invited to screen new work at Chisenhale's 21st Century program and participated in Young London V22 London, 2012 and 2014.

He has served on the board at Void Gallery, Derry and is a member of the curatorial committee.
